Following a string of 13 robberies at various Apple Stores in London, arrests have been made by the police. Additionally, a man from Pennsylvania has been sentenced for an Apple gift card scam.

12 charged in London Apple Store “raids”
Twelve individuals, 11 of whom are minors, have been charged in connection to a series of 13 robberies at Apple Stores in and around London. The incidents occurred over three weeks at various Apple Store locations. The charges include conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to steal, and drug-related charges.
iPhone thief caught on video in Manchester
In a separate incident, a man was captured on video stealing a display iPhone at the Arndale Shopping Center in Manchester. The suspect, described as a “deerstalker hat-wearing red-bearded crook,” fled the store when confronted by a store employee.

Three Chinese nationals plead guilty to gift card scam
In a federal court in New Hampshire, three Chinese nationals pleaded guilty to participating in a gift card conspiracy involving Apple products. The scam involved fraudulent acquisition of gift cards in China, which were then used by accomplices in the U.S. to purchase high-value electronics, primarily Apple products.
The trio pleaded guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud and are set to be sentenced in April.
Pennsylvania man sentenced in gift card scheme
In another case involving Apple products and gift cards, a Pennsylvania man received a three-year prison sentence for his involvement in an “Apple gift card draining scam” in the Pittsburgh area. The man was found guilty of running criminal organizations and involvement in organized retail crime.
The scheme involved stealing Apple gift cards from Walmart locations and manipulating them for personal gain.
