Transitioning to YouTube Music from Apple Music can be made simpler with the ability to export your music library and playlists.

Transfer playlists from Apple Music to YouTube Music

Apple has introduced a new tool for transferring Apple Music playlists to YouTube Music, similar to the iCloud photo library transfer tool for Google Photos. The transfer process may take some time, but once completed, users will receive an email notification. The synced playlists will then be available in the Library tab on YouTube Music.

There are some limitations to the tool, such as songs that are not available on YouTube Music will not sync. This tool is not for transferring files, but rather it matches song titles and syncs them accordingly. Curated playlists like ALT CTRL from Apple Music and collaborative playlists from other users will not sync. Additionally, podcasts and non-music audio files from legacy iTunes libraries will not transfer.
