The newest Pixel 9a features a large screen size, advanced cameras, and fast charging speeds.

The launch of the Pixel 9a is anticipated for next March, with plenty of details already known about the device. Information about its processor and design has been circulating, and recent leaks have revealed more specific specifications such as screen size, charging speeds, and camera details.

The screen size is said to be 6.3 inches with an Actua display capable of up to 120Hz refresh rate, matching the Pixel 9 model. The overall dimensions of the Pixel 9a are very similar to the standard Pixel 9, with measurements of 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9mm for the 9a and 152.8 x 72 x 8.5mm for the Pixel 9.

Other new details include 18W wired charging speeds (consistent with the Pixel 8a) and 7.5W wireless charging for the 5,000mAh battery. The rear-facing cameras are rumored to be a 48-megapixel primary and a 13MP ultrawide, while the front camera is expected to be 13MP.

Despite some differences from the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro models, such as slower charging speeds and no reverse charging functionality, the Pixel 9a is reported to maintain the same IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The pricing is expected to remain at $499, with the release still on track for March.

Overall, the Pixel 9a is shaping up to be a solid device with an intriguing flush backside design.// Android Headlines
