Glance has revealed a new collaboration with Samsung designed to bring its shopping services to multiple Galaxy smartphones.
According to a press release, Glance is launching its partnership with the Samsung Galaxy Store, introducing a generative AI shopping experience directly on Galaxy phone lock screens. Starting today (June 4), Glance claims users will soon be able to “visualize themselves” in a range of styles and settings.
Jason Shim, Samsung’s head of Galaxy Store in the U.S., stated, “By incorporating AI to personalize content and shopping directly on the lock screen, we offer a more intelligent, dynamic experience that embodies the innovative spirit of the Galaxy Store.”
Glance mentions that this new experience is specifically crafted for Galaxy users while still utilizing Google’s Gemini and Imagen models. This “opt-in” feature will enhance shopping capabilities with selfies (or images) you upload. Glance asserts that its software will produce “hyper-real images of users” in outfits that would suit them best. From your Galaxy S25 Ultra’s lock screen, Glance allows users to quickly access app features and save their looks as wallpapers or shareable images.
The outfits recommended by Glance AI encompass over 400 partnered brands and retailers, both domestic and international. Purchasing the outfits displayed is a breeze with a simple tap on items of interest.
Through this collaboration, Glance and Samsung will introduce the new shopping app and lock screen feature to the Galaxy S25 series (excluding the Edge), S22, S23, and S24 series (including the S24 FE).
As a point of interest, Glance notes that its AI software is aware of current trends, “local happenings,” social media feeds, and more. Furthermore, Glance’s shopping AI and lock screen feature will notify users about sales, ensuring you don’t miss out on desired outfits.
As mentioned earlier, the Glance AI shopping app and lock screen feature are launching on Galaxy devices today (June 4) through the Galaxy Store.
In May, Glance unveiled its generative AI-powered shopping functionality designed for phones and their lock screens. Glance emphasizes that this platform focuses on the user by offering a curated selection of outfits and styles, leveraging the selfies and other data like age, body type, and gender provided by users.
Glance’s partnered brands feature names like Levi’s, Old Navy, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Additionally, this Google-supported company is keen to expand its AI styling solutions for beauty, accessories, and travel as part of its plans for “later this year,” so stay tuned.
