Apple Music now allows artists to turn their concert set lists into playlists, giving fans the chance to relive the experience at home or know what songs will be played ahead of time. The playlist can also be used on social media to promote future tour dates.
Apple advises that the artist image will make up most of the cover art for the Set List playlist, with the words “Set List” and the Apple Music logo at the top. Artists can easily create the playlist by keeping their Bandsintown account updated with tour dates.
To create the Set List playlist with Apple Music for Artists, users can go to Artist Content and select Artist Playlists to see all existing Set Lists. They can then create a new Set List, add songs played on tour, and even include covers or collaborations with other artists.
After a tour, artists can choose to hide the Set List playlist, which will remain as a draft in their Apple Music for Artists profile for future use. The Set List will be featured alongside other playlists on Apple Music.
