PRESS RELEASE
Announcing Apple Invites, an innovative app designed to unite loved ones for life’s memorable occasions
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA – Today, Apple unveiled Apple Invites, a new iPhone app that allows users to craft personalized invitations for gatherings with family and friends. With Apple Invites, users can effortlessly design and share invitations, manage RSVPs, contribute to Shared Albums, and enjoy curated playlists on Apple Music. The app is now available for download from the App Store or online at icloud.com/invites. While iCloud+ subscribers can create invitations, anyone can RSVP, regardless of whether they own an Apple product or an Apple Account.
“Apple Invites ignites the spirit of an event from the moment it’s created, allowing users to create lasting memories even after the celebration has ended,” said Brent Chiu-Watson, Apple’s senior director of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apps and iCloud. “This app integrates familiar features from iPhone, iCloud, and Apple Music, simplifying the event planning process.”
Stylish Invitations to Celebrate Together
To begin using Apple Invites, users can select an image from their photo library or choose from a selection of backgrounds tailored for various occasions. The app also incorporates Maps and Weather for providing attendees with directions and the day’s forecast.
Participants have the option to easily share photos and videos in a dedicated Shared Album associated with each invite, helping to capture moments and relive the experience. Collaborative playlists allow Apple Music subscribers to curate an event soundtrack accessible directly within Apple Invites.
Enhanced Experience with Apple Intelligence
Thanks to Apple Intelligence, creating distinctive event invitations is a breeze. Users can utilize the built-in Image Playground to create unique images using concepts, descriptions, and personal photos. Additionally, Writing Tools assist in crafting the perfect message to match the occasion.1
Effortless Event Management and Access
Hosts enjoy full control over their invite experience: they can easily manage their events, distribute invitations via links, track RSVPs, and select which details to display in the invitation preview, such as the event background or address. Guests can view and respond to invitations using the new iPhone app or on the web without needing an iCloud+ subscription or an Apple Account. Attendees can manage their visibility settings and have the option to leave or report an event at any time.
Exclusive Features for iCloud+ Subscribers
Besides creating events in Apple Invites, iCloud+ subscribers can access several premium features:
- Expanded storage for securely storing large collections of high-quality photos, videos, and files, accessible across all devices.
- Private Relay ensures complete privacy during browsing in Safari from network providers, websites, and even Apple.
