Google Messages has recently introduced a new feature that allows users to RCS message themselves, which has been receiving positive feedback.

Google Messages now allows users to send themselves RCS messages, a feature that has recently been added and can be considered one of the greatest additions to the app. This capability is available in the latest beta version of Google Messages, such as version 20250212_01_RC00.phone.openbeta.

This new feature is significant because Google Messages enables messaging across different devices, including phones, tablets, and desktops via the web. With the ability to send high-quality photos, voice notes, and files to yourself, users can easily transfer content between devices without much effort. This feature also allows users to copy text between devices, forward messages from other threads to their personal thread for easy tracking, or even schedule messages for later reminders.

The app even distinguishes messages sent from different devices with unique bubble colors, even though they are technically all from the same user. This functionality provides convenience and efficiency for those using Android devices, including those with a Mac.

While Google Messages is not the first app to offer this feature, its inclusion adds to the overall convenience of the messaging app. Users interested in trying out this feature should ensure they are using the latest beta version of Google Messages.
