The market for home laser projectors is experiencing rapid growth, with Chinese manufacturers playing a significant role in driving this expansion. Brands like XGIMI and Dangbei have made significant strides in the western market with their products, and AWOL Vision is another brand that has garnered interest. The LTV-3000 Pro from AWOL Vision stands out as one of the top choices, and after using it for almost a year, I am convinced that it is one of the best UST projectors currently available.
AWOL Vision has taken a slightly different approach with its new product launch. The manufacturer recently introduced a sub-brand called Valerion and is rolling out the VisionMaster series. This series includes four products: VisionMaster Plus, Plus 2, Pro 2, and Max. Valerion has chosen to crowdfund these projectors through Kickstarter.
One of the highlights of the VisionMaster series is its design. The models feature a similar design with metallic fins around the chassis, giving them a sleek look. Additionally, they offer decent connectivity and essential features like auto keystone, autofocus, and obstacle avoidance.
The Plus is the entry-level model in the series, providing a 1500-lumen projection and comes in a blue chassis. It is currently available for $1,199, which is a 40% discount from its retail price. The Plus 2 is a compelling choice in the series, offering a 2000-lumen projection for $1,499.
The VisionMaster Pro 2, which I will be testing later this month, offers a 3000-lumen projection, 0.9- 1.5:1 optical zoom, and is priced at $2,099. The Max model completes the lineup with the same 3000-lumen brightness but includes a unique vertical lens switching system and Dynamic Iris for adjusting the lens to deliver optimal contrast in any lighting conditions.
Aside from variations in brightness, all models share the same tri-laser light source and are powered by MediaTek’s MT9618 platform. They come equipped with built-in Google TV, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and Dolby Vision integration as standard features. These projectors offer plenty to like, and even though Valerion is a new brand, its association with AWOL Vision lends it credibility.
