- This feature is now accessible to all users without the need for Fitbit Premium.
Google’s Pixel Watch 3 launch brought the promise of Fitbit’s Daily Readiness Score for free, a feature that was previously exclusive to Premium users. With a new update, this feature is now being extended to older Fitbit and Pixel Watch models at no additional cost.
According to a support page announcement by the company, the Fitbit Daily Readiness Score feature is now open to users of legacy Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices, as stated by 9to5Google.
The Fitbit Daily Readiness Score provides a comprehensive overview of your body’s condition by analyzing your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep patterns. This feature helps you assess your readiness for physical activity and daily tasks.
After a tiring workout or a stressful day, you may need more than two days to recover.
Although Fitbit previously offered this feature, it received a significant upgrade with the Pixel Watch 3 and is now free for all users without requiring Fitbit Premium.
The feature is now supported on various fitness trackers and smartwatches from Google, including the Pixel Watch (1st gen and newer), Fitbit Charge 5 and 6, Inspire 2 and 3, Sense and Sense 2, Versa 2 and newer, and Fitbit Luxe. It’s important to update your Fitbit app to version 4.23 or later to access this feature.
This feature provides you with a score ranging from 1 to 100, indicating your level of recovery, readiness for intense activity, and the need for additional rest.
A Daily Readiness Score below 29 suggests rest and relaxation, while a score above 65 indicates readiness for physical activity. A higher Daily Readiness Score signifies a better state of readiness.
The Daily Readiness Score considers more than just your activities from the previous day. It also takes into account your sleep quality over the past two weeks, along with your heart rate variability and resting heart rate.
Previously, the Daily Readiness Score factored in your activity level, but with the latest update, this has been removed. Fitbit claims that this adjustment improves the accuracy of the score by focusing solely on your body’s recovery, without being influenced by your prior day’s workouts.
