When setting up your Pixel device, there are a few key Android settings that you may want to adjust right away. Here are 3 quick changes to consider making:1. Disable app suggestions on the home screen: To declutter your home screen and get rid of unwanted app suggestions, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Notifications > On the lock screen, Show all notification content. From there, you can choose to hide sensitive content or disable app suggestions altogether.2. Customize the quick settings menu: Personalize your quick settings menu by arranging the icons to your liking. Simply swipe down from the top of the screen twice to access the quick settings menu, then tap the pencil icon to edit and rearrange the icons. You can also add or remove tiles to suit your needs.3. Enable dark mode: Dark mode can help reduce eye strain and save battery life, especially on OLED screens. To turn on dark mode, go to Settings > Display > Dark theme and toggle the switch to enable it. You can also schedule dark mode to activate automatically at certain times of the day.

With Android 15 now available on all Pixel devices, you may be exploring the new settings and features. While we have already listed the new Pixel Feature Drop items, here are three settings that you should consider changing:

1. Adaptive Vibration: Google has introduced Adaptive Vibration to allow your Pixel phone to adjust vibration intensity based on the environment. This feature uses your phone’s microphone and sensors to determine sound levels and context, without recording any data. To try it out, go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Vibration & haptics > Adaptive vibration and toggle it on.

2. App Archiving: Android 15 offers App Archiving as a way to free up space on your device by removing unnecessary app components while preserving important data like login information. To archive an app, go to Settings > Apps > See all xxx apps, select the app, and tap the “Archive” button. You can restore the app by tapping “Restore” later.

3. Theft Protection: Google has introduced Theft Protection for Pixel devices to help protect your device in case of theft or loss. You can enable features like Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock, and Remote Lock by going to Settings > Google > All Services > Theft Protection.

Bonus Tip – Notification Syncing: If you have multiple Pixel devices, consider enabling the “Dismiss notifications across Pixel devices” feature for convenient notification syncing.
