Vivo officially announced the launch date of the X200 Ultra on April 21, highlighting its powerful camera setup with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens and a 200mm super-zoom lens.
The company is also introducing a range of new devices, including the X200s, X200 Ultra, Pad 5 Pro, Pad SE, and Watch 5, expanding its product lineup from last year’s X200 series.
Rumors proved accurate as the X200 Ultra will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, along with Vivo’s custom VS1 and V3+ chips for enhanced photography and videography performance.
Screen game strong
The front of the X200 Ultra features a 2K Zeiss Master Color display with circular polarized light technology, designed to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. While the exact screen size has not been confirmed, reports suggest a size of 6.82 inches.
Equipped with the same 200MP Samsung HP9 periscope camera as the X100 Ultra, the X200 Ultra offers improved low-light performance with a wider aperture and supports 4K video at 120fps.
That thicc camera bump
An early hands-on video leak revealed the significant size difference in the camera bump between the X200 Ultra and the X200s models.
The X200 Ultra is reported to have two large sensors for the main and ultrawide lenses, along with a telephoto lens with exceptional low-light capabilities, pushing the boundaries of smartphone photography.
In another leak, the color options for the X200 Ultra were revealed by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, with variants in black, vine red, white, and an upcoming silver version with a unique design.
Vivo also teased a silver X200 Ultra with subtle vertical stripes on the back for added style.
