visionOS 26 Unveils Innovative Spatial Experiences for Apple Vision Pro
Apple has introduced visionOS 26, an extensive update that enhances the use of spatial technology with Apple Vision Pro. This update allows for deeply immersive and personalized user interactions. Key features include spatial widgets that seamlessly integrate into the user’s environment, lifelike Personas that are more expressive, and new APIs that offer exciting possibilities for developers, creators, and businesses.

Users can experience stunning spatial scenes generated by AI, making photos come to life in new ways, and enjoy shared spatial activities with others in the same room. This version also supports content formats like 180-degree and 360-degree from brands such as Insta360, GoPro, and Canon. Additionally, enterprise APIs open the door for tailored experiences specifically designed for visionOS, and compatibility with PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers enhances gaming between devices.

These customizable widgets come in various styles, including Clock, Weather, Music, and Photos, allowing users to personalize their environment with pleasing visuals and easy access to essential information. Developers can create new widgets using WidgetKit, expanding creative possibilities.
Shared Spatial Experiences
visionOS 26 enhances shared connections among users. Now, Apple Vision Pro users in close proximity can enjoy 3D movies, engage in spatial games, or collaborate on projects together. Integration with FaceTime allows remote participants to join in real-time. Dassault Systèmes’ 3DLive app exemplifies this, enabling effective 3D design visualization collaboratively, regardless of location.
Enhanced Personas
With visionOS 26, Personas are more life-like and expressive than ever, showcasing improved rendering and machine learning advancements. Users can create and customize their Personas quickly and accurately, adjusting features including glasses from a selection of over 1,000 options.
Introducing Spatial Scenes

This feature is available in the Photos app, Spatial Gallery app, and browsing through Safari, enhancing interaction and engagement with content.

It supports 180-degree and 360-degree playback from various brands, enhancing the viewing experience of dynamic content.
