Tigo Ghana appoints new HR and Marketing Heads

TIGO Ghana has announced the appointment of Jesse Agyepong as Head of Marketing and Elizabeth Arhin as Head of Human Resources respectively.

Jesse assumes responsibility for developing and implementing the annual marketing strategy for Tigo Ghana leading to an enhanced brand, customer and revenue market share.

He joins Tigo Ghana with 11 years of experience working as a marketing professional, driving revenue growth for telecommunications, FMCG, electronics and event management companies.

His professional career has seen him work in some middle to senior level positions including Head of SME Business; Head of Enterprise services and Head of customer acquisitions.

He joined Tigo from Vodafone Ghana where he worked as the Head of consumer marketing with the responsibility of developing and managing the Customer acquisition roadmap, Data and VAS portfolios.

Prior to Vodafone, Jesse worked for other Blue Chip companies including Philips (West-Africa), Airtel Ghana, Diageo (GGBL) and Charterhouse Ghana.

Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in performance management, talent development, resourcing and employee engagement from over 20 years of experience in both Ghana and the UK.

Before joining Tigo, she worked with G4S Security Services, an international security company as the Human Resource Director. Prior to that, she worked in similar roles with Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited and British American Tobacco.

In the UK, she worked with the London Borough of Croydon, Reynolds Porter Chamberlain and the British Broadcasting Corporation.

Elizabeth holds a double Masters degree in Manpower Studies from the University of Westminster, UK and in Ministry from the Trinity Theological Seminary, Ghana.

Commenting on the appointments, the CEO for Tigo Ghana, Roshi Motman, said “Jesse and Elizabeth are an excellent addition to the Ghana team. We are on a new journey to drive innovation, revenue market share and customer experience. Elizabeth will play a central role in developing our employees while Jesse will champion our market innovation activities as we expand our network infrastructure and capacity across the country.”

Both Jesse and Elizabeth will report directly to the CEO, Roshi Motman.
