Owners of the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro lineup have had a thermometer built into their device for two years now. Are people still using it?
I was surprised to learn that Google felt the need for people to frequently check temperatures of surfaces and foreheads. It might have been useful during the peak of COVID, but it was launched as the pandemic was winding down. Personally, I have not found a use for it on my Pixel 9 Pro.
If you are someone who has incorporated the built-in thermometer into your daily routine, I am curious to know how and why. As a Blackstone owner, I prefer the accuracy and distance of my infrared thermometer. Holding a phone an inch away from a hot surface does not seem practical to me.
Are there still people using the thermometer feature?
