Plugable has introduced three innovative docking stations, offering more displays and ports for your workspace than ever before.
Despite Apple’s efforts to add more ports to their laptops and desktops, it never seems to be enough. Fortunately, companies like Plugable provide solutions to expand external display capabilities and increase the number of charging ports in a compact space.
During CES 2025, Plugable unveiled three new products – the 5 Display Dock, 10-port USB-C Charger, and DisplayLink Pro Quad Display Adapter. Each of these products aims to reduce cable clutter and enhance workspace efficiency.
Bernie Thompson, Founder and CTO of Plugable, stated, “At Plugable, we’re always striving for innovation, and with the launch of the PS-10CC and the UD-7400PD, we’re excited to introduce products that are truly groundbreaking. The PS-10CC is the world’s first 10-port USB-C charger with intelligent power allocation, and the UD-7400PD is the first docking station to support up to five external monitors – all designed to simplify users’ lives and increase efficiency.”
USB-C 5-Display Docking Station with HDMI 2.1 and 140W Charging
The UD-7400PD docking station, also known as the 5 Display Dock, allows you to connect up to 5 high-resolution displays to your MacBook Pro while providing 140W of charging. It is compatible with all M-series Macs, even those that typically support only one display.
The 5 Display Dock supports the connection of three 8K displays, or one 8K and four 4K displays through a combination of available ports including HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, and three USB-C ports with DisplayLink.
Users will need to utilize DisplayLink software to enable all five external displays, but the dock is compatible with a wide range of devices. Additional ports on the front allow for charging of other devices such as iPhones.
The 5 Display Dock is available for $264.95 from Plugable.
USB-C PD 10-Port Priority Charger
The 10-port USB-C charger utilizes Plugable’s PriorityShare technology to intelligently distribute power among all connected devices. It prioritizes charging order from left to right, reallocating power as each device reaches full charge.
Supporting any USB-C power supply from 18W to 100W, the charger intelligently allocates power to connected devices. PriorityShare ensures that devices are charged in order until fully powered, even with the slowest 18W rating.
Compatible with a range of devices including iPhones and AirPods, the 10-port USB-C charger is available for $99.95 from Plugable.
USB-C Quad 4K HDMI Graphics Adapter with 100W PD charging
The DisplayLink Pro Quad Display Adapter is a portable accessory that can connect four 4K 60Hz HDMI displays to a single USB-C port, providing up to 100W passthrough charging for the connected laptop and accessories.
Compatible with any M-series Mac, the adapter adds four displays to your setup with an integrated USB-C cable for easy connectivity.
Users will need to use DisplayLink software to enable all four external displays, and the dock is universally compatible. The adapter can be bus powered, with the included PD passthrough port allowing 90W to charge the laptop while 10W powers the dock.
The DisplayLink Pro Quad Display Adapter is available for $124.95 from Plugable.
