A redesign of Google Maps that has been in progress for the past few months is now being launched for Android devices in the stable version of the app.

After undergoing additional development, Google has begun rolling out its UI overhaul for Maps on Android, as reported by 9to5Google. With version 11.136.x, users will now experience changes in direction searches. The UI now displays the starting location and end destination after a query. Additionally, Google has relocated the mode switcher to the bottom of the UI.
