- Signs suggest Samsung may offer a One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
- The beta program’s imminent launch could indicate a stable, public release is not far off.
- One UI 7 has only been available on the new Galaxy S25 series so far.
Samsung’s delay in rolling out One UI 7 to older phones has been frustrating for users, particularly those who do not have a Galaxy S24. While the beta program is well underway for the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra, these are currently the only eligible phones for the One UI 7 beta. However, recent indications suggest this may soon change, with Samsung potentially gearing up for a beta program for its 2024 foldable phones.
According to a post by Android tipster Tarun Vats on X (formerly Twitter), the One UI 7 beta could soon be available for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Vats initially claimed to have spotted One UI 7 beta builds for Fold and Flip phones on test servers in Europe and India. This was followed by another post on Feb. 25, sharing the official One UI 7 beta forum page that now appears on the community website for the 2024 foldable devices.
Vats also mentioned that the One UI 7 beta program page had been created for multiple Samsung phones, including the Galaxy S23, a while back. However, the focus on launching pages for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, along with the beta build information, suggests that a beta program could be on the horizon.

Although these developments suggest a One UI 7 beta program for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 may be on the horizon, a stable, public release may still be far off. Samsung has been refining the One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 lineup for several months now, with the company currently on its fifth beta release. It is likely that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will need to go through a similar lengthy process.
This delay may be disappointing for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 owners, who have invested in Samsung’s top-tier devices. Some users have expressed their frustration on Samsung’s community forums for each of these phones.
Nevertheless, a beta program for Samsung’s foldable devices would be a positive step towards an official release.
