The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro have been included in the Android 15 Beta program.

Pre-orders for the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL are beginning to arrive at customers’ doorsteps today. If you’ve made a purchase, you can now unbox your new Pixel 9 series phone, go through the setup process, and join the Android 15 Beta program right away.

Google has added all the new Pixel 9 models to the beta program as of August 22, providing both factory image and OTA files for users who are eager to get started. While my Pixel 9 review units are not currently listed as eligible for the Android Beta Program, this could change before the end of the day. I will keep this post updated with any developments.

In the meantime, Pixel 9 owners can manually install OTA or factory image files to access Android 15 Beta 4.2, which is the same build that was previously released for other supported Pixel devices on August 13.

It’s worth noting that Google has announced the imminent arrival of Android 15 QPR1, so we may see an updated build released very soon. UPDATE: Android 15 QPR1 is now available!
