The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is an impressive display of excess, but in the best way possible.

There’s a saying that goes, “Just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you always should,” but when it comes to the mysterious Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, we definitely want Samsung to go ahead with it.

Our first look at the rumored device reveals a thinner body and screen sizes of an 8-inch main display and 6.5-inch cover display. The device measures 10.6mm when folded and 4.9mm when unfolded, compared to the existing Galaxy Z Fold 6 at 12.1mm when folded and 5.6mm when unfolded.

The backside of the device is also intriguing. The design looks nice, with a possible textured surface under a glass cover. The camera island includes a reported 200-megapixel camera as the highlight.

Unfortunately, it’s rumored that the device will have limited availability in South Korea and China only. Hopefully, Samsung will make the device available in the US as well.

We will provide updates as we learn more. The launch is expected sometime this year.
