Essential Information
- A report indicates that Samsung’s upcoming budget earbuds, the “Galaxy Buds Core,” have allegedly been listed on its official support page.
- The page, albeit basic, mentions the model number, SM-R410, which has surfaced in previous discussions.
- There are additional rumors suggesting that the Buds Core could feature improved battery life compared to the older Galaxy Buds FE for both the earbuds and the charging case.
Several rumors are circulating regarding Samsung’s next version of its budget earbuds, fueling speculation about their release.
A recent report from XpertPick claims that the forthcoming replacement for the Galaxy Buds FE, dubbed the “Galaxy Buds Core,” has made progress in one significant area (as noted by GSMArena). The publication allegedly found an early support webpage by the Korean manufacturer for these budget earbuds. This page isn’t universally accessible; its existence has been noted in Turkey, the UAE, Russia, and India.
The information is somewhat underwhelming at this stage. The page is quite minimal, only displaying the supposed model number of the Galaxy Buds Core: SM-R410. This name has appeared in earlier rumors, so there may be some credibility to this report.
Furthermore, X tipster TheGalox has shared a leak reinforcing earlier claims about the device’s battery (via GSMArena). The speculation suggests each earbud might house a 100mAh battery and the charging case a 500mAh battery.
A Notable “Core” Change

The concept of a “Galaxy Buds Core” first emerged around mid-March when the device reportedly appeared in an international database. The listing suggested that Samsung assigned the model number SM-R410 to these buds. Moreover, the charging case was also supposedly identified, adding substance to this rumor. Given that we have seen this tidbit resurface, it might be worth noting these model numbers.
In terms of specifications, this rumor implies a 34mAh increase for each earbud, along with a slight 21mAh increase for the charging case.
Unfortunately, details regarding potential design modifications remain elusive. Recall that Samsung dramatically altered the design of its Galaxy Buds with the Buds 3 Pro, aiming to compete more directly with Apple’s AirPods. While Samsung’s executives were frustrated with the design updates, it remains uncertain which direction the company will take. There’s a possibility we could either see a continuation of the new design, given the FE line tends to follow flagship trends, or a return to the previous wing-tip design.
Ultimately, many speculate that we may see these “Buds Core” debut at Samsung’s summer Unpacked event.
