Google has introduced significant enhancements for its Gemini, including a new tool called Deep Research for Gemini Advanced users. This tool is now being rolled out to additional countries and in more languages.
Deep Research is an AI research assistant tool for Gemini AI users, now accessible in over 45 languages and across 100 countries worldwide as announced to Gemini Advanced users before the holidays. Users can access it by selecting “Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research” from the Gemini Advanced drop-down menu.
Deep Research aims to save users hours of time by “deeply analyzing relevant information from across the web,” enhancing the AI assistant’s utility.
For example, when a question is raised, Deep Research “creates a multi-step research plan for you to review or approve. Once approved, it begins in-depth analysis of relevant web information on your behalf.”
This new feature is designed to explore complex topics and produce a more comprehensive and readable report, exportable to Google Docs. The report includes links to original sources, pertinent websites, or businesses for further exploration. As an AI assistant, users can ask follow-up questions or request refinements, with reports generated in minutes.
The initial rollout of Deep Research for Gemini Advanced users on Desktop and mobile web began earlier this month for English-speaking users. The latest announcement extends the feature to more languages and countries. Gemini mobile app users can anticipate the feature rollout next year, according to the blog post announcement.
