Google’s upcoming Made by Google event is scheduled for August 13 in the U.S. The event will feature the new Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the new Pixel 9 Pro XL. Prior to the official launch, hands-on videos have already been leaked on TikTok.
The TikTok account named PixoPhone (via GSMArena) received the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL a month before their launch in Ukraine and posted a comparison video of the two models. Additionally, the account placed the Pixel 9 Pro XL next to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for a size comparison.

The hands-on video of both Pixel 9 Pro phones provides a detailed look at their design, including the camera modules. The Pixel 9 Pro XL, the premium model, has a glossy finish, while the Pixel 9 Pro features a matte finish.
The XL model’s camera module includes a periscopic lens and a temperature sensor. The other two cameras are similar to those on the Pixel 9 Pro. Both models have similar button placements. The overall design of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL is boxy with squared-off edges and rounded corners, as shown in the renders.

In the comparison video with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Pixel 9 Pro XL appears smaller, emphasizing the size difference between the two devices. The Galaxy S24 Ultra also supports the S-Pen, contributing to its larger form factor.
While Google has planned an early reveal for the new Pixel lineup, leaks have already given a comprehensive look at the upcoming devices.
Recent leaked videos also showcased the standard Pixel 9 device in a Pink colorway, featuring a glossy finish and a matte camera module. The standard Pixel 9 is noticeably smaller than the Pro model and was seen running either Android 14 or Android 15.
