A leaker has suggested that Apple plans to alter the placement of the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro due to a new camera bar, marking the first such change in six years.
In a recent post, leaker Majin Bu, known for his mixed accuracy on rumors, claims that the new camera arrangement for the upcoming Pro model will necessitate repositioning the Apple logo lower down. Bu states the logo will be centered in the bottom portion, just below the anticipated camera bar.
According to Bu, “A company we collaborate with that specializes in manufacturing cases for the iPhone 17 Pro line has confirmed they are starting production with the updated design.” He also provided an illustration of this change. Although both the logo repositioning and the full camera bar are currently unconfirmed, the latter change seems highly likely.
This leak follows several others that have repeatedly indicated a new layout for the top back section of the iPhone 17 Pro. While there haven’t been earlier rumors suggesting a logo repositioning, there’s no pressing need for Apple to change it.
Notably, the logo was last repositioned with the launch of the iPhone 11 in 2019. Previously, the iPhone X featured the logo higher on the back, alongside the word “iPhone” written lower down.
With the iPhone 11, Apple centered the logo and removed the “iPhone” text, introducing a redesigned camera layout as well. Previously aligned vertically, the cameras transitioned to the now-familiar rounded square arrangement with the iPhone 11 range.
The anticipated camera system for the iPhone 17 Pro would represent the first significant update to the camera since the iPhone 11. Speculation suggests that while the three cameras will remain on the left side, the flash and LiDAR sensor may shift to the right, creating a nearly iPhone-wide layout.

Bu has also recently claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro will feature a “vapor chamber” cooling system, although he expressed less confidence in this rumor. He noted that while the information was purportedly from an “internal source,” the design is still evolving and faces some challenges.
