The Android 15 QPR1 Beta is now accessible to Pixel devices!

Google recently released Android 15 QPR1 for several supported Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6 through the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8a, as well as the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tablet. The Pixel 9 series is expected to be added shortly, as it was just included in the regular Android 15 beta.

The build information for this Android 15 QPR1 beta includes a release date of August 22, 2024, build number AP41.240726.009, emulator support for x86 (64-bit) and ARM (v8-A), a security patch level of August 2024, and Google Play services version 24.26.32.

Google has not disclosed the new features in this update, but it is known to be a significant release compared to the typical monthly security patches. These Quarterly Platform Releases (QPR) are larger updates tied to Pixel Feature Drops. Android 15 QPR1 is expected to go stable in December 2024 after several months of testing.

For those interested, the Android 15 QPR1 update can be downloaded from the Google Beta Program for over-the-air updates.
