TECNO is known for its innovative concept devices, some of which were displayed earlier this year at MWC 2024. Now, following the unveiling of the Phantom Ultimate rollable phone concept, the company presents the Phantom Ultimate 2, a new tri-fold phone with a sleek and versatile design.
Unlike previous tri-fold concepts, TECNO has implemented impressive engineering to create a phone that is only 11mm thick when folded. For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 measures 12.1mm when folded. The thickest part of the phone houses the triple camera system, charging port, and speaker opening.
To achieve such thinness, TECNO utilizes a new hinge design that can achieve a thickness of less than 9mm on foldable phones. The company also uses the thinnest battery cover in the smartphone industry, measuring just 0.25mm and made of super-compressed Titan Advanced Fiber material.
