Solos launched two new smart glasses today: the AirGo A5 and the AirGo V2.
Unveiled at the Smart Glasses Summit in Hong Kong, both models signify the company’s latest endeavor to make AI wearables more practical for everyday life.
The A5 focuses on audio capabilities. While it looks like everyday eyewear, it incorporates AI voice controls and a convenient “Hey Solos” trigger phrase.
Sound quality has been enhanced, particularly in noisy environments. It ensures privacy with targeted audio that prevents your calls and AI replies from escaping to those around you.
Compatibility with Older Frames
Featuring hands-free activation, natural-sounding interactions (eliminating robotic repetition), and support for previous AirGo 3 frames, there’s no urgency to replace your existing setup if you’re already invested.
Furthermore, the V2 enhances functionality with a sleek 16MP camera that integrates seamlessly into the frame. It offers live streaming, AI features, and compatibility with multiple chatbots, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek.
The V2’s camera features improved electronic image stabilization. A noteworthy addition is the ability to live stream directly from your glasses using low-power Wi-Fi. Whether you’re capturing a hike or conducting a live Q&A, your phone can stay tucked away.
Additionally, Solos introduced “SolosChat 3.0,” an upgraded system that integrates audio, video, and text functionalities to better understand user needs. You can easily switch between AI models like ChatGPT and Gemini.
Designed for Longevity
The swappable batteries enhance usability for extended durations, along with customizable nose pads and frames, allowing you to modify your style effortlessly.
Solos is also opening its platform to external developers, paving the way for potential new applications.
The AirGo A5 will be available for presale in August for $249, while the V2 will launch in Q4 at $299. Both models can be purchased on the Solos website.
