Samsung is optimistic about the possibility of using Exynos processors in its upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup.

Two years ago, when Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23, it was reported that Samsung would be using Qualcomm processors due to delays in refining their own Exynos silicon. However, a recent report from South Korea suggests that Samsung is making progress with their Exynos chips, with the Exynos 2600 potentially powering the Galaxy S26 lineup.

Even though the Galaxy S25 series just went on sale, it’s not surprising to hear about Samsung’s future plans given how far in advance these decisions are made. After facing delays with the Exynos 2500, it seems that production of the Exynos 2600 is back on track with a 2nm process chip.

An unnamed Samsung official expressed optimism about the Exynos 2600, stating that mass production is likely to proceed as scheduled. Samsung Foundry is aiming for success with the Exynos 2600, especially considering the ongoing deficit in Samsung Electronics’ non-memory business.

Despite the technical details and business strategies, for Android users, the most important aspect is the performance of the chip. As long as it is fast and allows users to do what they need, the manufacturer is of little concern. More information about the Exynos 2600 is expected to be revealed throughout 2025.
