Samsung is increasing the number of physical repair locations in the United States.

What you need to know

  • Samsung is teaming up with Assurant to bring certified Galaxy repairs to more Cell Phone Repair (CPR) locations across the U.S., providing faster, same-day service—warranty or not.
  • With plans to introduce over 300 new repair spots by the end of the year, Samsung’s partnership with CPR by Assurant aims to bring the total to over 400 CPR stores nationwide.
  • CPR locations boast certified technicians capable of handling various repairs, from cracked screens to dead batteries, even for out-of-warranty devices.

Samsung has expanded its collaboration with CPR by Assurant, enhancing the availability of certified Galaxy repairs at CPR locations nationwide, ensuring speedy service for customers.

Over the past three years, CPR has established itself as a reliable independent repair partner for Samsung, operating more than 100 authorized spots nationwide.

Samsung’s Independent Service Provider (ISP) program equips businesses like uBreakiFix and CPR with genuine Galaxy parts, detailed repair manuals, and essential tools to deliver prompt, local repairs that meet Samsung’s high standards. These certified ISP repairs come with a limited warranty and many simple fixes can be completed within an hour, according to Samsung’s press release.

Customers visiting CPR locations will have access to Wireless Industry Service Excellence-certified technicians who use authentic parts to fix issues like cracked screens, dead batteries, and more, even for devices that are out of warranty.

In addition, certified repairs at CPR locations come with a limited warranty, providing peace of mind to Galaxy users. However, this service is currently only available for Galaxy S9 and newer models.

CPR is prepared to address a wide range of repairs, including screen damage, battery replacements, and water damage. To locate the nearest repair center, visit the CPR website or explore authorized and independent service locations on Samsung’s official site.

Samsung also offers a vast repair network with over 2,000 Authorized Care centers and a fleet of mobile repair vans for convenient on-site service.

While Samsung’s expansion of its repair network is commendable, there is still potential for growth in the ISP network. Recent developments, like Best Buy discontinuing authorized Samsung repairs and the termination of the partnership with iFixit, have raised concerns about the repair-friendliness of Galaxy devices.
