Samsung Hints at the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Promising It Will Be the “Thinnest” and “Lightest” Foldable Device to Date.

Last week, Samsung kicked off the teaser season for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a perplexing news release that left many in the industry scratching their heads. Tim and I discussed the post multiple times, and neither of us could decipher Samsung’s intent.

The release hinted at “the Ultra experience” and mentioned “Galaxy Ultra,” implying some sort of branding we’re supposed to recognize. It suggested a desire for more than just enhanced features in a compact form, hinting at a potential new design that remains under wraps. Honestly, it felt like their AI-generated press release had one too many drinks before attempting to impress.

However, Samsung returned later with a much clearer message. They’ve announced that the upcoming Galaxy Z series will be “the thinnest, lightest, and most advanced foldable yet.” They even shared a teaser showing the Galaxy Z Fold 7 unfolding into an ultra-slim tablet, which also looks impressively sleek when closed.

And that’s it—simple and straightforward this time.
