Samsung gives Galaxy Tab A series the Android 10 update

Even though Android 11 may dominate the news cycle, Android 10 is still yet to reach older, cheaper, third-party Android devices — especially tablets.

Samsung has been doing good work on that front with a steady roll of updates. The company released the update to Galaxy Tab S6 and S5e last week. Now it’s the turn of the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 to make the leap.

The folks over at 9to5Google  notes that this will be the version to roll with Samsung’s One UI 2.0, rather than the newer One UI 2.1 the firm released to its more expensive tablets.  Samsung is rolling out firmware versions T515XXU4BTFK and P205DXU5BTFB to the 10.1 and 8.0 respectively, bringing both devices up to date with Android 10 as well as adding in the July security patch (via Sammobile.).
