Report: TSMC and Google collaborating on developing the Tensor G6, built on the advanced 2nm platform.

While everyone is excited about the newly released Pixel 9 lineup with its Tensor G4 and sleek design, there is already news surfacing about the upcoming Pixel 10 and Pixel 11. It seems that Google is planning for some significant upgrades in the future, particularly with a potential partnership with TSMC for the production of Tensor G5 (Pixel 10, 2025) and Tensor G6 (Pixel 11, 2026). Currently, Google has been working with Samsung Foundry for the Tensor chips, but the switch to TSMC is on the horizon.

The shift to TSMC has been rumored for a while, but the latest reports focus on the Pixel 11 and the anticipated Tensor G6 in 2026. The upcoming Tensor G6 is said to be based on TSMC’s 2nm platform, promising improved performance and decreased power consumption.

While the launch of the Pixel 10 is still a way off, the development and production of these devices begin well in advance. We can expect to hear more about Google’s plans in the near future. What are your thoughts on this exciting development?
