Details about the camera setup for the upcoming Pixel 10 lineup have been revealed, causing a mix of anticipation and disappointment among Pixel fans. According to Android Authority, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will maintain the same camera setup as last year’s models, which is considered to be reliable. The Pixel 10, on the other hand, will see some changes with the addition of a telephoto lens, but with downgrades to the wide and ultrawide cameras.
Specifically, the Pixel 10 will feature the same cameras as the Pixel 9a, including a 50MP wide Samsung GN8 and a 13MP ultrawide Sony IMX712, along with an 11MP Samsung 3J1 telephoto lens. While the addition of the telephoto lens is a positive, the downgrades to the wide and ultrawide cameras may disappoint some fans who were expecting improvements.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also see a minor change with the main shooter being switched from a Sony IMX787 to a Samsung GN8. Google seems to be aiming to enhance the value of the Pixel 10 lineup without increasing the price, but the changes may not excite those who closely follow the specifications. However, in terms of actual camera performance, the differences may not be noticeable to most users. (Source: Android Authority)
