Pixel Screenshots were introduced with the Pixel 9 series, as one of the AI-powered features highlighted by Google at launch. Despite some improvements over time, many users, including myself, have not used it regularly.
While Google’s intention behind creating Pixel Screenshots is understandable, it seems that average users may not use screenshots in the way that Google expects. Personally, I rarely take screenshots to extract information from them, so using Pixel Screenshots would require a significant change in my screenshot-taking habits.
Furthermore, many users, including myself, wish that the Screenshots feature was integrated into Google Photos, eliminating the need for another separate app. Google Photos is already a powerful tool, so it is unclear why Google felt the need to create a separate app for screenshots. Since screenshots typically end up in Google Photos anyway, it would make sense to consolidate these features.
If you are a Pixel 9 user who uses Pixel Screenshots as intended by Google, we would love to hear about your experience. Are we part of a minority that does not use this feature, or have you also not utilized this app? Share your thoughts with us!
