Major League Soccer Returns to MLS Season Pass on Apple TV for Its Historic 30th Season
Starting today, soccer fans in over 100 countries can subscribe to MLS Season Pass to enjoy every MLS match without blackouts.
The regular season is scheduled to begin on February 22-23.
Major League Soccer is gearing up to return to Apple TV next month, and fans in more than 100 countries can now enroll in MLS Season Pass to follow all the action during the exciting 30th anniversary season. Subscribers will have access to every MLS game without blackouts, along with comprehensive coverage and analysis, a wide variety of programming, exclusive content, and more—including the annual Leagues Cup tournament, MLS All-Star Game, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and selected matches from MLS NEXT Pro.
The 2025 season kicks off on Saturday, February 22, marking the third year of an unprecedented 10-year collaboration between Apple and Major League Soccer. This season also introduces the league’s 30th team, San Diego FC.

Preseason Excitement on MLS Season Pass
In celebration of the 2025 season’s launch, MLS Season Pass will showcase select preseason matches, including LAFC going head-to-head with Liga MX’s reigning Apertura 2024 champion Club América on February 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET, and Inter Miami facing Orlando City SC in their final preseason match on February 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both matches will also be available for free streaming to Apple TV+ subscribers.
MLS is Back: 2025 Opening Weekend
On February 22 and 23, all 30 clubs will take to the field for the MLS is Back weekend. The season opener features MLS MVP Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF hosting New York City FC at 2:30 p.m. ET. For the full regular-season schedule, visit mlssoccer.com.
Introducing Sunday Night Soccer
New for 2025, MLS Season Pass will present a featured game each week on Sunday evenings, known as Sunday Night Soccer, featuring enhanced production and dedicated studio segments. These primetime games will provide highlights of the league’s most thrilling matchups, along with pre- and postgame shows, special graphics in English and Spanish, and smooth broadcasts. Additionally, all Sunday Night Soccer matches will be streamed for free for Apple TV+ subscribers.
Sunday Night Soccer will feature on-screen commentary from MLS Season Pass broadcasters like Jake Zivin, Taylor Twellman, and Andrew Wiebe for English broadcasts, along with Sammy Sadovnik and Diego Valeri for Spanish matches. Following the last Sunday match, MLS Wrap Up and MLS El Resumen will air to provide recaps and highlights from the week’s games.
The inaugural Sunday Night Soccer match will debut the league’s newest franchise, San Diego FC, as they take on the reigning MLS Cup champions, LA Galaxy, on February 23 at 7 p.m. ET, with a live broadcast in Times Square adding to the anticipation.
T-Mobile Customers Enjoy Free Access to MLS Season Pass
T-Mobile is offering eligible T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers—along with businesses—a promotional opportunity for complimentary MLS Season Pass access throughout the season with no blackout dates. T-Mobile customers can redeem this offer through T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T-Life app starting February 18.
MLS Season Pass on Comcast
Apple is partnering with Comcast to provide Xfinity customers with an integrated viewing experience for MLS Season Pass, allowing live matches to be accessed directly through the Xfinity user interface. Customers will also be able to sign up for MLS Season Pass directly via Xfinity, enabling seamless integration with the channel guide on X1 and the Xfinity Stream app, as well as the Apple TV app.
Moreover, Comcast and Apple will offer free access to MLS 360 for all Xfinity customers throughout the season, a first for the popular whip-around studio show, which provides live coverage from every match. To celebrate the 2025 season and the new viewing experience, Xfinity will also provide a free preview of MLS Season Pass from February 22 to March 2, after which subscriptions can be made via Xfinity.
MLS Season Pass on DIRECTV
For the 2025 season, DIRECTV residential customers can now subscribe to MLS Season Pass. Matches will be broadcast live within the DIRECTV satellite guide on channels 480 through 495, similar to other league packages. Subscribers will also gain access to MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app.
DIRECTV is offering a complimentary preview of MLS Season Pass for all DIRECTV residential and commercial satellite customers from February 22 to March 1. Following this period, customers will be able to upgrade to MLS Season Pass through DIRECTV channels. This offering enhances DIRECTV’s existing partnership providing MLS Season Pass to commercial venues, which has served over 300,000 sports bars and restaurants since the 2023 season.
Celebrating the 30th MLS Season
- On February 21, the highly anticipated eight-part documentary event Onside: Major League Soccer will premiere on Apple TV+. Produced by Box to Box Films in collaboration with Major League Soccer, this docuseries offers exclusive insights into players, coaches, and clubs, capturing the memorable moments and engaging stories of the 2024 season. The first episode will be available for free to all MLS Season Pass subscribers from February 21 to March 3.
- The free Apple Sports app for iPhone keeps fans updated with scores, stats, standings, and news about their favorite clubs throughout the MLS season. Users can easily navigate scores and upcoming games, view play-by-play data, team stats, lineup details, and live betting odds, and watch matches via MLS Season Pass in the Apple TV app. Apple Sports also syncs with users’ favorites selected within the My Sports section, which is integrated into the Apple TV app and Apple News. With iOS 18 and watchOS 11, the app now offers Live Activities for all MLS games, providing live scores and play-by-play information at a glance on users’ iPhones and Apple Watch Lock Screens.
- On Apple Music, fans can listen to exclusive playlists curated by clubs and players, with additional music content released throughout the season at apple.co/AM-MLS.
- Apple Maps users can access dedicated Matchday Guides created by MLS clubs and player city guides, providing recommendations for local spots to enjoy a game, details about stadiums, and more.
- On Apple News, users can follow MLS and their favorite teams in the Sports tab, accessing scores, schedules, standings, and news from numerous top publishers.
- On Apple Podcasts, users can explore an MLS hub featuring curated podcast episodes and collections focused on MLS, its teams, players, and soccer in North America.
- Selected Apple Store locations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will stream live MLS matches during the MLS is Back weekend.
How to Subscribe to MLS Season Pass
MLS Season Pass is available through the Apple TV app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, and game consoles, as well as online at tv.apple.com. Fans can also enjoy MLS Season Pass on Apple Vision Pro, with the ability to watch games alongside other apps in their environment, within an expansive setup, and utilizing Spatial Audio for an immersive experience.
Subscriptions for MLS Season Pass are priced at $14.99 per month during the season or $99 for the entire season. Apple TV+ subscribers can avail a reduced rate of $12.99 per month or $79 for the full season. Each full-season MLS club ticket holder will receive a subscription to MLS Season Pass.
