Major League Soccer Set to Launch 30th Season This Weekend on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV
This Saturday marks the beginning of Major League Soccer’s 30th season, kicking off with MLS is Back weekend as all 30 teams take the field on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
Fans from over 100 countries can subscribe to MLS Season Pass to watch every MLS match without any blackouts. The service also offers in-depth analysis, exclusive content, and coverage of major events, including the Leagues Cup, Campeones Cup, MLS All-Star Game, Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and select MLS NEXT Pro games. 30th Season Sleeve Patches
In celebration of the league’s milestone, each club’s first-team player kit will feature a unique Apple TV sleeve patch on the left sleeve. Designed to reflect each team’s crest and visual identity, these patches will be worn throughout the 2025 season.
An Exclusive Interview with Lionel Messi
On February 28, join eight-time Ballon d’Or winner and current MLS MVP Lionel Messi for a captivating interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. This exclusive discussion will delve into Messi’s journey to Inter Miami, the growth of MLS, his evolving playing style, the influence of music in his life, and more. Fans can preview the conversation and catch the full interview next week on Apple Music, YouTube, and MLS Season Pass.
MLS Season Pass Launches on Android
The Apple TV app, featuring MLS Season Pass, is now available for download on Android devices via Google Play. This user-friendly app is designed specifically for Android users and allows them to subscribe to MLS Season Pass using their Google Play accounts on mobile and Google TV devices.
The Debut of Sunday Night Soccer
Under the Sunday Night Soccer banner, MLS Season Pass will showcase a featured game every Sunday evening, complete with enhanced production and dedicated studio programming. These matches will be available for Apple TV+ subscribers and will include preview shows like MLS Countdown and MLS La Previa. Following the games, MLS Wrap Up and MLS El Resumen will deliver comprehensive recaps and highlights from the week’s matches. The first Sunday Night Soccer game will feature the league’s newest team, San Diego FC, debuting against reigning MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy on February 23 at 7 p.m. ET, with a live broadcast in Times Square.
More Viewing Options Available
T-Mobile is offering its qualified customers — including businesses — a promotional deal for free access to MLS Season Pass throughout the season with no blackout restrictions. T-Mobile customers can redeem this offer beginning today through T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T-Life app.
MLS Season Pass can also be accessed via DIRECTV, where live matches are featured on channels 480 to 495. Subscribers will have access to MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app as well. DIRECTV customers can take advantage of a free preview from February 22 to March 1, moving forward to subscribe to MLS Season Pass through DIRECTV channels, continuing its exclusive rights for commercial settings.
Xfinity customers will benefit from an integrated MLS Season Pass experience, enabling sign-up directly through Xfinity and seamless live viewing within the X1 guide, Xfinity Stream app, and Apple TV app. Furthermore, Comcast and Apple are offering free access to MLS 360 for all Xfinity customers throughout the season via dedicated channels. A free preview of MLS Season Pass will be available to Xfinity customers from February 22 to March 2, after which they can subscribe directly through Xfinity.
Onside: Major League Soccer on Apple TV+
Starting February 21, Apple TV+ will debut the much-anticipated eight-part documentary series Onside: Major League Soccer. Produced by Box to Box Films and MLS, the docuseries offers unprecedented access to players, coaches, and clubs, highlighting the thrilling moments and compelling stories from the 2024 season. The first episode will be available to all MLS Season Pass subscribers from February 21 to March 3. Watch the official trailer.
Stay Updated with MLS on the Apple Sports App
Fans can track scores, statistics, standings, and their favorite teams throughout the MLS season via the free Apple Sports app for iPhone. The app provides easy navigation between scores and upcoming games, detailed play-by-play information, team statistics, lineups, and live betting odds. Users can also quickly access matches on MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app. With iOS 18 and watchOS 11, the Apple Sports app now includes Live Activities for all MLS matches, providing live scores and updates directly to users’ iPhone and Apple Watch Lock Screens.
How to Subscribe to MLS Season Pass
MLS Season Pass is accessible through the Apple TV app on Apple and Android devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, game consoles, and online at tv.apple.com. Fans can enjoy MLS games on Apple Vision Pro, experiencing them alongside other apps in their physical environment; in an immersive Environment where the screen feels expansive; and with Spatial Audio for an enhanced experience.
ML Season Pass subscribes for $14.99 per month during the season, or $99 for the whole season. Apple TV+ subscribers can take advantage of a discounted rate of $12.99 per month or $79 for the season. A season-long MLS Season Pass subscription will be included with full-season ticket accounts for MLS clubs. With Family Sharing, up to six family members can share the subscription using their individual Apple ID and password.
