Google recently launched Android 15 onto Pixel devices and introduced a Feature Drop to commemorate the event. This new drop includes at least 10 new features, one of which is particularly useful for those who own multiple Pixel devices, including a Pixel Tablet.
The new feature, “Dismiss notifications across Pixel devices,” allows for the synchronization of notifications between devices, preventing old notifications from lingering on devices that are used less frequently. While this feature is still fresh, we wanted to ensure everyone knows how to locate and activate it.
To start syncing your Pixel device notifications, ensure that all your devices are updated to Android 15. Then, navigate to Settings and search for “dismiss notifications.” This should bring up the settings for “Dismiss notifications across Pixel devices,” which can be found within the Device Connectivity Service section. If you’re unable to locate it under Settings > Notifications, try searching for it.
Once you find the feature, toggle on the “Dismiss on this device” button, which will prompt you to grant notification access for Device Connectivity Service and select the Google Account to use if you have multiple accounts. Repeat these steps on all your Pixel devices to enable notification syncing between them.
According to Google, this setup will ensure that notifications dismissed on either your Pixel phone or tablet will no longer appear on both devices, and you must turn on the feature for all devices you wish to sync under the same Google Account.
Give it a try and let us know how it works for you!
