What you need to know
- Eufy has removed a blog post announcing Find My Device trackers from its website, indicating that it may not be developing SmartTrack for Android devices.
- The brand initially changed its target launch window from “June 2024” to “late 2024.”
- References to Eufy’s Find My Device trackers on various Google and Eufy pages have been removed.
Eufy seems to have abandoned plans for a Find My Device item tracker, as the company has taken down a press release introducing the SmartTrack Link and SmartTrack Card for Android from its website. This change was recently noticed and appears to have happened last month, based on Wayback Machine archive data.
While some Eufy and Google pages still mention the brand’s upcoming Find My Device trackers, the removal of the main press release indicates that the devices may no longer be in development. Originally intended to expand Eufy’s popular SmartTrack lineup with Android-compatible options, the SmartTrack Link and SmartTrack Card ultimately never materialized. Eufy was slated to be one of Google’s five Find My Device partners, along with Chipolo, Pebblebee, Jio, and Motorola.
When Eufy unveiled the Find My Device-compatible versions of the SmartLink trackers in April 2024, the initial plan was to launch them in June 2024. However, as the target date was missed, the blog post was updated to reflect a new release window of “late 2024.”
In December 2024, the blog post was removed from Eufy’s site, with the original link now redirecting to the homepage. While some support documents still acknowledge the Find My Device network, the absence of the blog post suggests that the SmartTrack Link for Android and SmartTrack Card for Android may never be released.

Eufy has not offered any public updates on the status of the SmartTrack Link for Android and SmartTrack Card for Android trackers since their initial announcement. Despite the changes to the launch window and the removal of the blog post, Eufy has not provided any clarification.
The uncertainty surrounding Eufy’s planned item trackers adds to the overall disappointing launch of Google’s Find My Device network. With limited product availability and delays in location updates, it seems that Eufy is now cancelling its plans to introduce SmartTrack for Android devices.
