It’s been a few months since we announced the pre-order launch of the Arc Pulse for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This two-piece case, which boasts a high price tag and unique aesthetic, has quickly become one of my favorite accessories. The pre-order period has ended, so you can now purchase this stylish bumper case directly.
The team at Arc kindly sent me one to test, and here it is on my personal Galaxy S25 Ultra. I opted for the Graphite edition, priced at $99.99. Other options include Matte Black ($69.99), Silver ($89.99), and Rose Bronze ($109.99). I felt this color would complement my Jetblack S25 Ultra beautifully, and it truly does.
What should you know about the Arc Pulse accessory? By now, most of you probably have a good grasp of it. This bumper-style case might not resemble a traditional case, but it provides solid protection. Each piece offers corner protection to mitigate drops and minimizes contact with surfaces on both the front and back of the device. Its futuristic, almost alien-like avant-garde design is crafted from premium aerospace-grade aluminum, making it a luxury item.
I previously wrote a mini-review for the Pixel 9 Pro version and expressed my fondness for it, as it allows you to appreciate your device while still ensuring protection. It guards against drops (I can vouch for its durability after dropping it from my truck) while letting you feel the actual materials of your phone. With both the Pixel 9 Pro and this Galaxy S25 Ultra, you get to appreciate the device’s design while knowing it’s safe.
For the Galaxy S25 Ultra version, I can say it has made the phone much more comfortable to hold. One of my major complaints about the S25 Ultra is how sharp and uncomfortable it feels during prolonged use. With the Arc Pulse, the bottom piece covers those bothersome corners, transforming the phone into a more enjoyable device to hold. I might even go back to using it while exploring One UI 8 further.
This case also allows access to the S Pen, albeit snugly, and provides a better grip when retrieving the phone from your pocket. Additionally, there’s ample camera protection on top, ensuring full functionality despite being surrounded by the case. You can even access the SIM tray without needing to remove the bottom piece, which isn’t the case with the Pixel 9 Pro version.
That said, the starting price of $70 is steep, and the design may not appeal to everyone. This product is not for everyone, and it wasn’t designed to be. I can confidently say I’m as impressed with this S25 Ultra version as I am with the Pixel 9 versions. At this point, I’ve purchased these cases for all my devices.
