Google has introduced two new features to the Android operating system in an effort to combat unwanted Bluetooth tracking.

Google recently announced two new features aimed at enhancing protections against unknown or unwanted Bluetooth trackers. These features are designed to provide users with more control over their location information and help them locate any potential tracking devices.

The first feature allows users to temporarily pause their phone’s location updates for up to 24 hours, preventing their device’s location from being used by a detected unknown tag. This gives users the opportunity to locate and disable the tracking device.

The second feature, called “Find Nearby,” helps users pinpoint the exact location of an unknown tracker after receiving an alert. This feature guides users to the tag’s location, making it easier to locate if it’s hidden.

Both features are currently rolling out and aim to provide users with added privacy and security when it comes to dealing with Bluetooth trackers.
