Gmail Introduces Draggable Dividers for Larger Android Devices

If you’ve ever opened Gmail on a tablet or another large-screen device and thought, “It would be great to resize the email box and reduce the inbox,” I’ve got exciting news for you. Recently, Google announced that Gmail now features draggable dividers for large-screen Android devices.

This update is part of a Workspace feature rollout. Google revealed that both Gmail and the Chat app now allow users to adjust the sizes of their two-pane layouts with draggable dividers. You’ll notice a small grey bar located in the middle of the divider; just grab it and slide it to your desired width. If you drag it all the way to one side, you can switch to a single-pane layout.

Here’s a glimpse of it in action:

That’s the latest! Google indicates that this feature is on the rapid release schedule, meaning you should soon have it available on your personal Google accounts as well as your Workspace accounts, if you don’t already.
