Get a sneak peek of Google’s newly redesigned Quick Share user interface.

Earlier this week, a preview of One UI 8 was released well in advance of its official launch. One of the key new features highlighted in the preview was an updated version of Quick Share. Now, users are getting a closer look at this revamped service on a Pixel device, revealing that Google has significant plans for enhancing it.

The latest beta version of Google Play Services (25.15.31) contains code that hints at not only visual changes but also functional improvements to Quick Share. The activation of this code gives users a glimpse of what to expect from the updated service.

Upon opening the new Quick Share, users are welcomed with a redesigned landing page that showcases the changes. One major update is the addition of device discoverability in the Receive tab of the app. Privacy remains a top priority, as Google ensures that only contacts can view a user’s profile picture, requests to share can be accepted or declined, and users have the option to disable discoverability by leaving the Receive tab.

In the Send tab, a new feature allows users to select files they want to share, opening a file picker for easy selection. This updated UI offers previews of images, text, URLs, and more. The Settings menu has also received a visual overhaul.

While there is no official announcement from Google regarding the release date for the updated Quick Share, it appears to be nearing completion. Stay tuned for further updates.
