Gemini Introduces Exciting New Scheduled Actions Feature!

Imagine how much more beneficial Gemini (and AI in general) would be if it could take initiative on tasks for you. The good news? That capability is being introduced in the Gemini app today.

Google initially revealed scheduled actions for Gemini at Google I/O, and now they are rolling out to users. If you have a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription, you should soon be able to have Gemini perform any task you can think of at a specified time. Additionally, these tasks can be set to recur, allowing Gemini to manage them proactively, all configurable within the app’s settings.

What kinds of recurring tasks can Gemini handle? Google has suggested a few options:

  • Receive daily updates for your favorite sports team
  • Get a summary of an award show the day after it airs
  • Have Gemini generate five blog ideas every Monday

This is just a starting point, so I encourage you to share your ideas in the comments. This new feature sounds like a practical addition to AI that many of us could benefit from.
