Gmail users on desktop have been benefiting from Gemini-powered summary cards for some time, and now Google is bringing this feature to mobile. Starting this week, you’ll see these summary cards automatically appear at the top of supported emails.
According to Google, “summaries will be displayed at the top of the email content for messages where a summary is beneficial, such as lengthy threads or messages with multiple replies. Gemini will consolidate all key points from the email thread, ensuring that any subsequent replies are included in the overview, keeping all summaries accurate.”
Previously, users could summarize emails using a separate pop-up Gemini interface, which didn’t feel integrated with Gmail. The new cards are fully incorporated into the Gmail interface, providing a smoother, more cohesive experience.
