Chargeasap’s Zeus is the ultimate 280W GaN charger.

Chargeasap has emerged as a promising manufacturer in the accessory landscape, particularly in the charging technology sector. A few weeks ago, I evaluated the Flash Pro Ultra power bank, which features a 25,000mAh capacity, and I found it to be on par with competitors like Anker and UGREEN. Recently, the brand also provided me with their GaN charger, which I’ve been testing for nearly a month now.

The Zeus charger impressively features four ports, each capable of delivering up to 140W individually, and a total output of 280W. This far surpasses my UGREEN Nexode Pro travel charger that offers a maximum of 160W. One of my favorite aspects is the built-in real-time charging display, which is quite useful; I usually depend on USB-C cables with integrated power meters for this information.

However, the price tag is a drawback; the Zeus is priced at $219 in the U.S., which is more than double that of the 160W Nexode Pro. Chargeasap seems to be banking on the enhanced features as key selling points, and it indeed comes with several perks, including a set of global travel plugs, adding much-needed versatility.

The Zeus has unmatched versatility

This charger effectively functions as an all-in-one GaN unit suitable for global use. Thanks to its elevated power output, the Zeus can handle all your devices during travel. Notably, it’s also more compact and lighter than most competitors in this category, which is a commendable feat considering it doesn’t skimp on any functionalities.

The rectangular design of the Zeus enhances its portability, and I appreciate that it comes in a white variant; most chargers tend to be just grey or black. The white model stands out nicely. Weighing in at 320g, it’s not overly heavy, and it includes a pouch that neatly accommodates both the travel plugs and charger.

When it comes to connectivity, the Zeus includes one USB-A port with a maximum output of 65W, along with three USB-C ports. The primary and secondary USB-C ports can support up to 140W under the USB PD 3.1 protocol, while the third port maxes out at 100W. I’m particularly fond of the integrated OLED display; it provides real-time charging information, which is crucial for multitasking with multiple devices.

The charger features foldable plug blades and comes with options for U.K., Australian, and an angled two-pin connector for travel convenience. The build quality is impressive, and I experienced no issues during my month of usage. While it does warm up slightly when all ports are in use, this is typical of all GaN chargers and it never overheated.

The USB-C port can handle PPS up to 65W, making it an excellent choice for Samsung devices. Notably, the USB-A port supports the VOOC charging protocol, albeit limited to 22.5W. I had no trouble charging devices like the Find X8 Ultra, Find N5, and OnePlus 13 with ease. While regular USB-C PD compatibility is also available, the Zeus is particularly useful for older BBK devices.
