The American Film Institute has placed Apple TV+ originals “Pachinko” and “Severance” on its ten best television programs of the year list.

While this may be the most recent recognition from AFI, Apple TV+ has been acknowledged by the institute in the past.

In 2021, “Ted Lasso” and “Schmigadoon!” received Television Programs of the Year honors.

The same year, “The Tragedy of Macbeth” and Academy Award winner “CODA” were named two of AFI’s Movies of the Year.

In November, Apple Original Films premiered its documentary, “Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me” worldwide at AFI Fest in Hollywood.
