Apple Intelligence expands to more languages and regions in April

Apple Intelligence, the personal intelligence platform designed to provide useful and relevant information, is set to launch in additional languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, along with localized English for Singapore and India.

These new language options will be available worldwide with the upcoming release of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 in April, and developers can begin testing these updates today.

As part of these software updates, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will experience Apple Intelligence features for the first time. Additionally, Apple Intelligence will make its debut on the Apple Vision Pro in U.S. English, enabling users to communicate, collaborate, and express themselves in innovative ways.

Apple Intelligence represents a significant advancement in AI privacy, meticulously designed to safeguard user privacy at all stages. The service utilizes on-device processing, meaning that many of the models driving Apple Intelligence operate entirely on the device. For requests that necessitate access to larger models, Private Cloud Compute extends iPhone privacy and security into the cloud, allowing for enhanced intelligence.

In the coming months, Apple Intelligence will continue to expand with new features, including additional capabilities for Siri.
