Apple is introducing a new role called the vice president of stores and retail operations to assist Senior vice president of retail and people Deirdre O’Brien.
Deirdre O’Brien has had various leadership roles within Apple, from vice president of people to retail and people, back to just retail, and back to retail and people. According to a report from Bloomberg, Vanessa Trigub will take on the new role of vice president of stores and retail operations, reporting to O’Brien.
Trigub, who previously managed locations in the American West region, will now oversee global operations. This restructuring will place individual region executives under Trigub, reducing the number of direct reports to O’Brien. Trigub is seen as a potential successor to O’Brien, having been with Apple since 2007 and promoted to the vice president role in 2023.
