ANNOUNCEMENT
Apple Fitness+ reveals a thrilling array of new options for staying active and centered in 2025
This year’s offerings include innovative programs focused on strength training, pickleball, yoga, and breath meditation, alongside a fresh partnership with Strava.
As 2025 begins, Apple Fitness+ presents its most extensive programming lineup yet, providing users with diverse avenues for maintaining their physical and mental well-being. The service rolls out a structured strength training program aimed at simplifying routine development, as well as a conditioning program tailored for pickleball — one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. The new workshop-style yoga sessions are geared towards helping users master key poses, while a novel breath meditation program aids users in managing stress, enhancing concentration, and boosting energy levels. The Artist Spotlight series now features more renowned musical talents, including Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick Lamar, while the new Time to Walk episodes highlight personalities like Adam Scott, Rita Ora, Daddy Yankee, and Tiffany Haddish. Additionally, celebrated choreographer Alex Wong will lead a special dance workout takeover.
This new content will be available starting Monday, January 6, on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. With the Apple Watch, users can elevate their experience with real-time metrics, aiding in the tracking of their progress. Fitness+ is also working alongside Strava to enhance the Strava app experience, offering a special trial for Strava subscribers, and featuring notable athletes from the Strava community as special guests in workouts.
“Fitness+ is tailored to support individuals on their unique fitness and wellness journey, offering engaging and encouraging workouts, meditations, and programs that simplify staying active and present,” stated Jay Blahnik, Apple’s VP of Fitness Technologies. “Whether it’s workouts aimed at improving performance in pickleball, breath meditations to reduce stress, or exhilarating Artist Spotlight sessions, along with an exciting collaboration with Strava, Fitness+ is here to inspire and support everyone in feeling their best in 2025.”
Three Weeks to Strength
This year, Fitness+ introduces a comprehensive progressive strength program that assists users in building and maintaining their strength through efficient training. The three-week guided plan focuses on all major muscle groups with 12 thirty-minute workouts, including Progressive Overload (Week 1), Time Under Tension (Week 2), and Dynamic Power (Week 3). This foundational program is designed for effectiveness and can be revisited as users increase their strength.
Training for Pickleball
In recognition of pickleball’s rapid rise in popularity among casual and competitive players alike, Fitness+ now offers a Strength, Endurance, and Agility program led by professional pickleball champion Catherine Parenteau, the world’s No. 1 ranked player in both singles and doubles. This program encompasses a variety of exercises based on Parenteau’s training regimen, designed to bolster user confidence and performance on the court.
Yoga Workshop Experience
The Yoga Peak Poses program brings a personalized workshop experience directly to users, emphasizing proper technique and education typically found in one-on-one sessions. Each class focuses on a specific peak pose — such as Dancer, Twisted Hand to Big Toe, and Crow — providing detailed guidance and preparation flows to help users build mastery and confidence.
Introduction to Breath Meditation
The new Introduction to Breath Meditation series offers straightforward techniques for managing stress, enhancing energy, and improving focus. Users can select from five ten-minute meditations, including belly breathing, box breathing, and ocean breathing, to help them relax or recharge. Additionally, “Breath” is now a featured theme within Fitness+, alongside eleven other unique themes like Calm, Sleep, and Sound, making it easier for users to find the meditation practices that align with their needs.
Spotlighting Iconic Artists
The Artist Spotlight series returns with fresh workouts featuring curated playlists from some of music’s biggest stars. Upcoming spotlights include Janet Jackson (beginning January 13), Coldplay (beginning January 20), Bruno Mars (beginning January 27), and the headliner of Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, Kendrick Lamar (beginning February 3). Each playlist fuels workout sessions across various training types, from Cycling and HIIT to Strength and Dance, injecting energy into every exercise.
New Time to Walk Episodes
Time to Walk — a critically acclaimed audio experience available on iPhone and Apple Watch that encourages walking — allows users to enjoy the company of some of the most influential figures as they share stories, photos, and music. New episodes launch on January 13, featuring award-winning actor and comedian Adam Scott, who stars in the eagerly awaited new season of Severance, premiering January 17 exclusively on Apple TV+.
This season’s other guests include music producer and two-time GRAMMY-nominee Steve Aoki; award-winning actor and producer Lana Condor; actor and singer Tiffany Haddish; international sensation Rita Ora; award-winning Latin music artist Daddy Yankee; and entertainer Maddie Ziegler.
Special Guest Trainer Alex Wong
Renowned choreographer and So You Think You Can Dance all-star Alex Wong will make a special appearance, leading an exhilarating 20-minute Dance workout that offers high-energy routines suitable for all fitness levels, alongside Fitness+ trainers.
Collaboration with Strava
