An image of the proposed change is included, showing a notification shade that covers a quarter of the screen with a single-finger swipe down, separating notifications from quick settings buttons, which now require a two-finger swipe. The current implementation may prove inconvenient for users accustomed to a one-handed operation. It is expected that Google will refine this feature before release.
