Join Apple Music Radio for a celebratory broadcast hosted by Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden, featuring special guests reflecting on ten years of memorable moments while looking ahead.
CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA — This year, as Apple Music celebrates its 10th anniversary, Apple introduces its most ambitious creative project yet: a cutting-edge studio in Los Angeles aimed at nurturing artist-driven content, advancing audio innovation, and enhancing fan engagement.
Set to open this summer, this state-of-the-art studio signifies a significant step in Apple’s ongoing commitment to empower artists by providing them the tools, platform, and creative freedom to convey their stories in fresh ways. This facility goes beyond the traditional studio format, functioning as a creative campus that embodies a decade of Apple Music’s dedication to top-notch sound quality, genuine storytelling, and artist-centric experiences.
“Apple Music Radio has long been a platform for storytelling and artistry, offering a venue for bold discussions and unexpected moments,” said Rachel Newman, co-head of Apple Music. “With this new studio, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing a space for artists to create, connect, and share their visions.”
A Creative Ecosystem Designed for Artists
Tailored for artist needs, Apple Music’s new Los Angeles studio features a three-story layout of over 15,000 square feet, including:
- Two advanced radio studios equipped with immersive Spatial Audio playback and flexible configurations for live interviews, casual chats, or spontaneous performances.
- A 4,000-square-foot soundstage intended for live performances, multi-camera shoots, fan events, and screenings.
- A dedicated Spatial Audio mixing room fitted with a 9.2.4 PMC speaker system to elevate sound production.
- A photo and social media lab, edit room, and green room to facilitate immediate content creation.
- Private isolation booths for songwriting, podcasting, and intimate interviews.
- The A-List Corridor and Archive Corridor, featuring images and artwork celebrating key moments from Apple Music’s history.
A Global Vision with Local Foundations
Apple Music’s new Los Angeles studio will anchor a network of creative hubs already active in cities like New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, and Nashville, with more studios planned for the near future. This launch continues Apple Music’s innovation, reshaping how music is produced, experienced, and shared. From radio to live performances, and fan interactions to content creation, this new facility is set to be a creative sanctuary for the next decade of music.
Unleashing the Power of Apple Music Radio
Since its launch, Apple Music Radio has been an integral part of the service, bridging the gap between fans and artists in real-time. From exclusive premieres and intimate interviews to in-depth features and surprise performances, Apple Music Radio has distinguished itself with expertly curated, artist-centered storytelling that draws listeners closer to the music they cherish. Available 24/7 and free globally, Apple Music Radio continues to engage audiences.
“When we introduced Beats 1, it was a bold move—the first live global radio station designed for a digital audience,” remarked Zane Lowe. “We aimed to create a unique platform for artists to share their stories and for fans to connect. A decade later, Apple Music Radio has become exactly what we envisioned—a space where music takes precedence. I’m just as excited about the future as I was on launch day.”
To commemorate the 10-year anniversary, Apple Music Radio will host a week of specials and live programming, starting with “Don’t Be Boring: The Birth of Apple Music Radio with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden” on June 30, from 6 to 8 a.m. PST.
